The Point:

We need truth — but not tabloid truth. We need justice — but not media justice.

TD Wonders: IS THIS “CHRISTIAN BASHING” FOR CLICK BAIT, MANY VIEWS (as it resembles TMZ basic styles of ‘glamorized scandal reporting)  ACTUALLY ” SELFISH?”

POINT: Jesus confronted sin, but He never publicly exposed someone’s downfall for the crowd’s entertainment.

POINT: He restored Peter quietly after denial. He stooped low to defend the woman caught in adultery.

 Introduction

In today’s Christian culture, it’s no longer the local church or seasoned elders correcting fallen ministers.
It’s YouTube prophets.
It’s popular Christian newsletters.
It’s “discernment” blogs.

Families, former staff, and anonymous sources often post online, not in private or before a board.

Trial by Talking Heads vs First Church Accountability

Let’s compare true Bible protocol with what’s happening today:

Issue First Church (Jesus, Paul, Apostles) Modern Christian Exposé Culture
Process Private → 2-3 witnesses → Church (Matt. 18:15–17) Immediate public exposure online
Motivation Correction & Restoration (Gal. 6:1) Views, outrage, platform growth
Judgment Based on witnesses and facts (1 Tim. 5:19) Based on rumor, assumption, editing
Audience The Body of Christ (local or apostolic) Anyone with internet access
Spirit Meekness, grief, edification (2 Cor. 2:6–8) Accusation, spectacle, often glee
Authority Church elders or spiritual leaders Self-appointed watchdogs, “discerners”
Restoration Desired Rarely mentioned, if ever

This public spectacle — often monetized — raises urgent questions:

Is this biblical exposure (Ephesians 5:11)?

Or is it gossip dressed as justice?

What did Jesus and Paul actually model?

How did the First Church train leaders to handle this?

When Even Families Start “Reporting Online”

Yes — this is new territory, but it echoes 2 Timothy 3:1–5:

“…disobedient to parents, unthankful…without natural affection…false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good…”

When:

  • Children go public with personal family wounds,

  • Relatives publish “inside scoops” as gossip,

  • Ex-staff leak documents or screenshots to Christian bloggers,

…it’s not healthy rebuke. It’s often wounded retaliation + bitterness, masquerading as “justice.”

Real Dangers of This “Expose Everything Online” Culture

  • It creates ‘accuser fallout’ toward all Christians

  • It creates big suspicion of the name ever true Christian, as. well as the false

  • It creates, bias, negative declarations “word curses”

It trains the entire video watching society , around the blog, plus the unbelievers and many young, as the many dysfunctional,    to walk in suspicion, fear of being duped, also making ALL forms Christian

Pastor TD  Note: ‘even if they do that ,that is their CHOICE but this ministry is about GETTING PEOPLE SAVED BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE..and this stuff HURTS men, women and young

SELAH POINT: IS A CHRISTIAN BASHING A FELLOW CHRISTIAN, A MINISTER

FOR VIEWS  ACTUALLY “DYSFUNCTIONAL? “MISGUIDED  ” AN EGO?   “SELFISH?”

ASIDE THINKING POINT:

also might that individual, all of those hard working very many Bible Perspective:  be  “guilty of failing to discern the body of Christ correctly” Corinthians, “uncovering Noah’s sin” “committing the sin of rebuking an elder without 2-3 first hand witnesses? “doing all of this for the money (A Demas) more

  • It violates due process (1 Tim. 5:19–20)

  • It weaponizes people’s personal failures — even repented ones

  • It confuses the Body (Was this proven? Was this handled properly?)

  • It creates fear-based leadership (Who’s next?)

What Did Paul Do?

Even when Paul named names (e.g., Hymenaeus and Alexander, 1 Tim. 1:20), it was:

  • Brief,

  • Specific to false doctrine,

  • With a goal: “that they learn not to blaspheme”

  • AND it was done within church context, not for public humiliation.

He didn’t write open newsletters to the world. He didn’t record a “Top 10 False Apostles” reel.

Is Ephesians 5:11 Being Twisted?

Yes — it’s being used as a license to gossip and shame publicly.

Ephesians 5:11 tells us to reprove works of darkness.
But Jesus’ method and Paul’s teaching shows us:

  • Reproof is not the same as public destruction

  • It must be Spirit-led, redemptive, sober, and submitted to godly authority

  • It is not a DIY smear campaign, no matter how righteous it’s made to sound

First Church vs Modern Christian “Trials”

Compare Biblical Correction (First Church) with Modern Trial by Talking Heads

Matthew 18:15–17 — Private → witnesses → church Instant global exposure via video or post

Galatians 6:1 — Restore with meekness Cancel, shame, and monetize it

1 Tim. 5:19 — Only accept accusations with 2–3 witnesses Accept anonymous emails, blogs, social buzz

2 Cor. 2:6–8 — Discipline, but forgive and comfort No restoration plan, just damage

Done by mature leaders or eldership Done by influencers, “watchdogs,” and angry relatives
Reproof means bring to light for healing Reproof becomes exposé for followers and clicks

When Even the Family Goes Public

We now see:

Children exposing ministers’ sins (recall Noah’s son uncovering this senior leader father’s nakedness, while his 2 siblings silently covered him) That is why Ham brought down the curse upon himself.

Ex-spouses, angry bitter family writing tell-alls

Distant relatives giving “insider scoops”

Former staff leaking personal texts or sermons

Sometimes it’s true pain. Sometimes it’s bitterness, grief, or revenge.
Either way, going public without process is not First Church protocol.

Proverbs 18:17 (KJV)

“He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.”

It sounds eerily like 2 Timothy 3:3–5:

“False accusers, fierce…traitors…lovers of themselves…”

Ephesians 5:11 — Misused?

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

Key Words (with Greek meanings):

  • Fellowship (συγκοινωνέω, synkoinōneō): to partner with, share in, take part in

  • Unfruitful (ἄκαρπος, akarpos): producing no good fruit, spiritually barren

  • Works (ἔργον, ergon): deeds, actions, behaviors

  • Darkness (σκότος, skotos): spiritual ignorance, moral blindness, evil

  • Reprove (ἐλέγχω, elenchō): to expose, convict, bring to light — not just accuse, but to correct with truth

This is often used as a license to gossip.

But in Greek, “reprove” (elenchō) means:

To bring into light for correction

With moral clarity and order

Not for spectacle or shame

Paul never used it to justify global character assassination.

Biblical Exposure vs Gossip Culture

Leviticus 19:16

“Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people

  • Test Biblical Exposure Gossip / Clickbait

  • Goal Correction and repentance Public shaming and view counts

  • Tone Grieving, humble Loud, mocking, dramatic

  • Audience Elders or the Body The global internet

  • Evidence? 2–3 witnesses or firsthand Often secondhand or implied

  • Restoration? Yes, always Rarely mentioned

Final Thought: What Would Jesus Do?

Jesus exposed systems, not people’s private failures.
He rebuked Pharisees who loved public honor.

But when Peter denied Him? He restored him.

When the woman was caught in adultery? He defended her from a public stoning — then gently corrected.

 Conclusion

We don’t need “Christian tabloid culture.”
We need mature, Spirit-led discipline.
We need the apostolic model, not the algorithmic model.

If a minister is truly fallen:

Let it be handled through godly channels

Let it be judged with truth and evidence,Let it go to the police, the courts

Let it be spoken with the aim of restoration (mature, humble Galatians 6:1,Matthew 18:15-16(

Not for clicks. Not for revenge. Not for drama.

“Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40

LAST:WE WANT TO ENVISION

IF JESUS OR PAUL EACH HAS A MODERN MEDIA PODCAST

Let’s imagine how Jesus or Paul — if they hosted a modern podcast or broadcast — might respond to fallen TV preachers, prosperity teachers, and the gossip-obsessed Christian and secular world.

But remember: they wouldn’t sound like most of what we hear online today.

IF JESUS OR PAUL HAD A PODCAST TODAY…

They wouldn’t:

  • Tear down individuals for entertainment

  • Play video clips for shock value

  • Mock or exaggerate

  • Use titles like “Exposed! FALSE Prophet SHAMED Before Millions!”

  • Feed the outrage machine

They would:

  • Teach sound doctrine with clarity

  • Address the spirit behind the error

  • Call for repentance and fear of the Lord

  • Weep over the Body’s brokenness

  • Offer hope for restoration

  • Warn without targeting egos

 ENVISION:

30 YEAR OLD JESUS: The Podcast Host Who Spoke in Red Letters

His style:

  • Stories (parables), not clickbait

  • Questions that search hearts

  • Correction, yes — but always aiming to redeem, not destroy

Example Episode Title:

“Woe to the Hypocrites… But Mercy Is Still Offered”

He might say:

“There are many who preach in My name, but I never sent them. Some sell the temple’s glory for silver and spotlight. But I say to you: Repent, for the Kingdom is near.”

“To My sheep: Judge not by appearance or gossip, but by fruit. And let him that is without sin cast the first stone.”

WHAT ABOUT PAUL HAVING HIS MEDIA BROADCAST

ENVISION PAUL: The Apostle Podcast Host With Fire and Structure

His style:

  • Bold correction when needed

  • Clear about doctrine, false gospels

  • Protective over the flock

  • Aimed at order, never confusion

Example Episode Title:

“Prosperity Without the Cross? Another Gospel”
“Ministry or Merchandise: Weighing Teachers in Light of the Word”

He might say:

If any man preach another gospel — let him be accursed. But brethren, even now, some preach Christ out of envy and strife. I pray they turn.”

Mark those who cause division through flattering speech and smooth words. But speak the truth in love — and restore the fallen with meekness.”

ENVISION: JESUS AND PAUL: Surgical in Truth, Gentle Toward the Broken

They would:

  • Address systems (greed, fame, manipulation)

  • Warn about false gospels (without a personal smear campaign)

  • Mourn the lost witness to the world

  • Expose darkness with compassion and backbone

  • Stay in line with Galatians 6:1 and Matthew 18:15–17

They would never make failure into entertainment.

And to the Gossiping, Divided Church?

They might preach:

“Why do you eat the bread of gossip and drink the wine of suspicion?

“While you consume scandal, who weeps for the broken?”

“If your brother is overtaken in a fault, restore him in the spirit of meekness — not mockery.”

 And to the Watching World?

Jesus and Paul would:

  • Call the world to repentance

  • Speak truth with conviction, not hypocrisy

  • Admit the church’s failings with sorrow, not defense

  • Lift up the cross, not the failure of men

 Final Thought

Jesus would cleanse the temple again — but also kneel down and write in the dust before judging.
Paul would rebuke sharply — but plead that they be made sound in the faith.

So if they had podcasts?

They’d expose error without exalting themselves, restore without rage, and teach without tearing down the broken for clout.

  • All of this is submitted Food for Thought “SELAH”

Leviticus 19:16

“Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people…”

In Hebrew: rakil — someone who spreads private or scandalous news
This law was given to prevent communal breakdown through hearsay.
