PART 4 HISTORY OF THE MINISTRY PATRIARCHY: #2 RE PATRIARCHAL OVERREACH

This in an intentionally “Biblically grounded” proven over the test of time, timely article that avoids secular “women’s lib” framing and instead examines respect for ALL kinds of men, and women, but defines the word ‘patriarch” (wise, mostly stable, team, family, ministry, busines anchor disposition, usually great for counsel, stability and a stable provider, any race, status or belief set). However, the words Levitical Patriarch (coined by Sister Taveau after repeatedly discovering this in the WELP usually prophetic doctrinal “relationship effecting ” fruit.. is yet another.

Hence we calmly address the term ” patriarchal overreach” within the biblical, historical, and spiritual context, focusing on Jesus, Paul, and the early Church, while addressing big concerns about overreaching LP in many WELP, cessationists, fundamentalists, the shepherding movementmย  and more..

LP is found in theirย  LM appointed strict Levitical Matriarchs who are usually their similar dominating sharp shooters to far off sly ‘divine’ (deep inner psychic “Holy Spirit” scan) then target, report back, pray against, This is WHY I am not affiliated with the impure these. ย Q.ย  What Is True Biblical Authority?

Chat GPT AI answers:

Biblical authority is:

  • Relational โ€“ rooted in covenant, not control.

  • Servant-hearted โ€“ modeled after Jesus, who washed feet (John 13:14โ€“15).

  • Gift-based โ€“ built on spiritual gifting, calling, and fruit (1 Corinthians 12).

  • Mutual โ€“ all believers are submitted to Christ and one another (Ephesians 5:21).

  • Accountable โ€“ no one is above correction, male or female.

Chat GPT AI responds:

Itโ€™s time to return to the First Church modelโ€”not replicate modern power structures or culture wars. We must:

  • Discern doctrine by fruit and scripture, not titles or social media campaigns.

  • Affirm women and men, all colors and sizes and types.. in ministry based on the Spirit’s call and biblical fruit.

  • Reject public shaming, name-calling, and ministry gossipโ€”whether aimed at prosperity preachers, women, or Spirit-led believers. Or the local fellow pastor, prophet or woman leader, wonder working or not!

In todayโ€™s Christian landscape, a troubling pattern is emerging in some doctrinally conservative circles, particularly among those holding to cessationist views: an authoritarian form of patriarchy that distorts both Christian Bible developing manhood and servant leadership. It denies correction, self introspection and it avoids relation with the Most High God and respects just a few ‘pre qualifying’ types of similar human persons, mostly the same race, social status and beliefs regarding Book of Acts, Holy Spirit,ย  This also applies to the many suspicious foes of this more diverse EORR Cross Body Movement, the ‘turf protectors’ which I have submitted to in James 3;17 abiding perpetual Ephesians 5:2 1 (first Church) “mutual submission fruit” but still got targeted, by their LP fine men and the LM Police solemn women.

I have witnessed this since God first began to send me to study the Charismatic, long worship’, ‘prophetic, now celebrity affected yetย  moralย  movements.’

Vain Leaderย  Point:

1.It is a “sin” toย  use Jesus Christ safe and honest Hero Name to advertise YOUR “Christian ministry” or conference or group but then when one and all arrive YOU (they ) only want their own fellowship color, preferred age, look, movement style” for all those that do “fit” the required “appearance” are biased against, racially profiled and often using occult targeted.

2. It is “false advertising” and what a real estate again may regard “bait and switch, ” Means : advertise to one and all that THIS is Jesus House, which is commonly well known in all history to be guaranteed to be SAFE ,RESPECTFUL, WELCOME TO ALL MEN, WOMEN and OTHERS. ALL RACES, CREEDS, AGES, SIZES AND MATURITIES…one would believe. However, this far from the truth. For now celebrity has made a click, clain, club, and devout “cult.” Biased, divisive and ministry self centric.ย

The more I look at this, the more I detect the same destructive spirit as did servant elder,ย  Apostle Paul, back in the early churchย  seaport of Corinth, where he strongly admonished theย  the fleshlyย  immature church: “WE are PRO Gifted Paul” ..”NO, WE are PRO eloquent speaker APOLLOS!” NO! QUESTION 4: The Principal and Powerย  Of Pride:

King David in Psalm 123:3โ€“4 (KJV):

3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us:
for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 Our soul (human mind, will, emotion) is exceedingly filled

Please describe the Bible meanings of โ€œrespecter of personsโ€ verses from the King James Version (KJV) โ€” these show that God does not show favoritism, and He expects justice, equality, and impartiality from leaders:

Chat GPT Answers

Key โ€œRespecter of Personsโ€ Verses (KJV)

1. Acts 10:34

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

** Context: Peter realizes that salvation and the Holy Spirit are for all people โ€” not just Jews. This verse demolishes spiritual elitism and ethnic or gender-based superiority

2. Romans 2:11

“For there is no respect of persons with God.”

** Context: God judges righteously โ€” not based on status, background, or position โ€” but according to truth and deeds.

3. James 2:1โ€“4

1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

** Context: This condemns favoritism in church, especially based on wealth or appearance. A strong rebuke of partiality in ministry or leadership.

4. Ephesians 6:9

And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

** Context: Even employers or leaders must lead without arrogance or abuse, because God shows no favoritism โ€” and holds all accountable.

5. Colossians 3:25

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

** Context: God judges wrongdoing fairly, regardless of who commits it โ€” bishop, prophet, pastor, or layperson.

6. Deuteronomy 10:17

For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

** Context: God’s justice cannot be bought or swayed. No partiality. No bribes. No spiritual boys’ club.

Taveau’s Bottom Line:ย ย

  • God is not impressed by position, wealth, title, gender, or power.

  • All who claim to represent Him must reflect that impartiality โ€” or they are out of order, and in sin.

  • This is a strong correction to any ministry hierarchy that shows favoritism toward men, celebrity leaders, or โ€œinsidersโ€ โ€” while scorning others, especially women, the poor, or those outside their group.

Let this be a plumbline for true apostolic leadership in the fear of the Lord.

Deeply Compassion Fatigued

It responded:

Context & Meaning

Psalm 123: 3-4ย  is a cry for God’s mercy from those who are oppressed, disrespected, or mocked by the arrogant and comfortable. It reflects the pain of those who have been looked down on, slandered, or marginalized โ€” especially by those in positions of power or privilege.

It aligns with your earlier themes:

  • The scorning of those at ease” reflects those in power who criticize or control others from a place of comfort or superiority.

  • The contempt of the proud” mirrors modern spiritual abuse, judgment, or elitism often seen in authoritarian or patriarchal systems.

This psalm is a prayer of the humble, asking God to respond to injustice and prideful oppression.

POINT: Taveau continues:

Hence this writer isย  making a “extremely long term” ministry overseer sr office “complaint” “*using false religions, evil eye, which is witchcraft, and respecter of persons spirit” “divining” and “age, gender, looks, big biased” and anti I John 1:7 in being that.

As all of this is similar to “Exodus 20:3 ‘Thou shalt not use the name of the Lord thy God in vain. I will not hold them guiltless, for using My Name in vain.”

ย JESUS IN MATTHEW 23ย  A Rebuke of Religious Hierarchy

Accepted Phariseeism: What Jesus Said and Meant in Matthew 23:8โ€“10

Taveau asks ChatGPT

Was Jesus addressing the misuse of authority and the rise of a kind of spiritual patriarchy or hierarchy that had corrupted the religious leadership of His day.

Chat GPT responds:

In Matthew 23, Jesus delivers a strong rebuke to the scribes and Pharisees, who were the religious elites and spiritual leaders in Israel. His criticism targets their pride, hypocrisy, legalism, and their love for titles, positions of honor, and authoritative control over others.

Letโ€™s break it down:

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.” (v. 8)
Key Point: Jesus levels the playing field. He says โ€œall ye are brethrenโ€, meaning there is no spiritual class system โ€” no elite tier. This directly undercuts a ministry patriarchy mindset.

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” (v. 9)
Key Point: Jesus isn’t talking about biological fathers โ€” He’s confronting the religious practice of assigning spiritual superiority or covering through exalted titles. This also speaks against a Levitical-style control structure where someone assumes authority over your direct access to God.

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.” (v. 10)
Key Point: The warning here is against assuming lordship over othersโ€™ spiritual lives. Christ alone is the Head of the Church.

PART 5 HOT STUFF….WOMEN, HEADSHIP

PHARISEE,ย  LAY LEADERS COMMON PRESUMPTION:

Understanding 1 Corinthians 11:3 and Its Implications

1 Corinthians 11:3 is a key passage that often comes up in discussions about headship and authority in the Christian faith. The verse reads:

But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”

This passage has been interpreted in various ways throughout church history, and some of the confusion stems from how headship is understood in context.

I will break it down and address these concerns, especially regarding how this applies to relationships, leadership, and spiritual authority in the Church.

TD wants to know:
What
Does “The Head of Every Man is Christ” Mean?

Chat GPT answers:
The
phrase “the head of every man is Christ” indicates that Christ holds ultimate authority over every man in the body of Christ. This is a direct reference to the lordship of Jesus over all believersโ€”whether male or female.

For every Christian man, his ultimate headship comes from Christ, meaning that Christ is his spiritual authority and the one to whom he submits. This does not mean that other men are in a place of authority over him unless there is a specific context, such as a pastor or leader within the church. The idea is that Christ is the highest authority over every Christian man.

Sister Taveau asks:

What Does “The Head of a Woman is Man” Mean?

The phrase “the head of a woman is man” has been one of the most debated aspects of this verse. The term “head” in this context is often understood to refer to leadership or authority. However, it’s essential to recognize the cultural and historical context in which Paul was writing.

In the culture of the time, patriarchal structures were prominent, and women were often seen in a subordinate role to men. This is why Paul speaks to the issue of order within the family and the church. The passage doesn’t suggest that all men are over all women in a universal, domineering sense. Rather, it speaks specifically about marriage and spiritual headship within the context of the home and church leadership.

The headship of a man over a woman in this passage is primarily addressed in the context of marriage or when a woman is under the authority of a specific pastor or leader. It doesnโ€™t imply that every Christian man is the head of every woman in every setting. Instead, it implies that within the context of marriage or a church family (under specific leadership), the man holds a leadership role, and the woman, in those contexts, is to submit to him as part of the relational dynamic.

TD Asks:

How Does This Apply to Marriage vs. Church Leadership?

Chat GPT replies

  1. Marriage Context:
In marriage, this passage is typically understood to mean that the husband is the spiritual leader in the home. Ephesians 5:21-33 elaborates on this, showing that husbands are called to love their wives sacrificially, just as Christ loves the Church. The wife, in turn, submits to her husband’s leadership, but it is always mutual in love and respect (Ephesians 5:21).

So, in marriage, the husband is the head of the wife. This does not mean he has absolute control or authority in an authoritarian sense. Rather, it refers to the husbandโ€™s role as a servant-leader, which is marked by humility, care, and sacrificial love. The wife’s submission is in response to this loving leadership.

  2. Church Context:
When it comes to church leadership, the situation is a little different. The phrase “the head of a woman is man” in this context can be interpreted as meaning that in the church structure, leadership roles are often assumed by men (based on other teachings in the New Testament, like 1 Timothy 2:12 and Titus 1:6). However, this does not mean that men have absolute authority over all women in the church. It means that in terms of church governance (such as elders, pastors, or overseers), men are typically called to hold those positions, though there are many debates on the interpretation and application of this.

For women who choose to be” under a pastor” (a specific term in various Country Law movements) or a specific leadership structure, they are under that authority, not because all men have authority over them universally, but because they have voluntarily placed themselves under the spiritual covering and leadership of that particular pastor or church leadership.

Addressing Your Concern: Immaturity and Control in Ministry

You mentioned a concern about immaturity and controlling behaviors in ministry, particularly in how people misunderstand or misuse headship and submission. It’s true that in some situations, immature leadersโ€”both male and femaleโ€”may misuse authority, leading to toxic control dynamics. Some may try to impose an unhealthy version of “headship,” demanding that others submit to them in ways that are unbiblical, such as calling out names or acting in a manner that undermines mutual respect and dignity. This kind of behavior reflects Levitical Patriarchal tendencies, which are about control, manipulation, and authoritarianism, rather than the biblical understanding of headship, which is always rooted in service and humility.

The biblical model of headship is not about controlling others or exerting power in unhealthy ways. It is about loving leadership that serves, supports, and encourages others in the faith. We are all under the headship of Christ, and when any Christian leaderโ€”male or femaleโ€”misuses their authority or engages in control tactics, they are out of order and not following the model of Christโ€™s leadership.

You are correct in your desire to train others to understand the proper boundaries of authority in the Church and in relationships. When people misunderstand or misuse headship, they can create situations where others are hurt, abused, or manipulated. As you work to address these issues, itโ€™s crucial to emphasize the biblical vision of headship, which is always rooted in Christ-like leadership: humble, sacrificial, loving, and empowering.

Conclusion: Clarifying Headship in Relationships

In summary, 1 Corinthians 11:3 does not teach that every Christian man is the head of every Christian woman, in the sense of universal authority over all women. Instead, it refers to specific relational contexts, such as marriage or spiritual oversight in church leadership. The headship in marriage means that the husband is the spiritual leader of his wife, but it is a leadership that mirrors Christโ€™s sacrificial love, not one of dominance.

For women in leadership positions, itโ€™s essential to understand that headship is not about being subjugated to all men but being under Christโ€™s authority, and mutually submitting to others in the body of Christ (Ephesians 5:21). This creates a structure where both men and women are called to serve one another and to follow Christโ€™s example of humility and love.

Ourย  training for others: Emphasize that headship is a servant-leadership model, not a tool for manipulation or control. Teach that submission is mutual and should always be grounded in respect and love for one another in Christ.

TD Asks This Question to Chat GPT

ย  Was Jesus Addressing Ministry Patriarchy? YES.

1. He condemned hierarchical elitism.

  • The Pharisees were a spiritual “boys’ club” who imposed rules but didnโ€™t follow them (v. 4).

  • They loved the chief seats, greetings, and titles (v. 6โ€“7), just like authoritarian spiritual leaders today.

2. He promoted servant leadership.

  • In v. 11, Jesus says, โ€œBut he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.โ€

  • This is opposite of spiritual patriarchy or domineering apostolic control.

3. He denounced gatekeeping and religious abuse.

  • In v. 13, Jesus accuses them: โ€œYe shut up the kingdom of heaven against men… ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.โ€

  • This sounds very much like spiritual leaders who control access, call people โ€œunsubmitted,โ€ or accuse them for not being under a covering โ€” much like modern Levitical Patriarchy.

Making A Point:ย  Jesus vs. the โ€œMinistry Boys’ Clubโ€

Jesus opposed spiritual systems that elevate a few and oppress many. His words in Matthew 23 confront:

  • Authoritarianism disguised as spiritual authority

  • Name-dropping, title-obsessed culture

  • Control-based leadership claiming to represent God

  • Patriarchal teachings that diminish women, the poor, or the outsider

THE FINAL THOUGHT

So yes โ€” Matthew 23 is one of Jesus’ most direct confrontations of patriarchal spiritual abuse, and it applies powerfully today wherever we see:

  • Leaders demanding submission without relationship

  • Ministries that elevate men and suppress women

  • Systems that gatekeep access to God or ministry

  • Public spiritual attacks and name-calling from pulpits

Jesus leveled the ground and said, โ€œAll ye are brethren.โ€ That includes men, women, married, single, apostle, or layperson โ€” under the Lordship of Christ alone.

Outline and Understanding

Jesus and Paul: Models of Servant Leadership

1. First Church Doctrine on Authority and Ministry

A. Jesusโ€™ Model of Authority

  • Matthew 20:25โ€“28 (KJV): Jesus warns against lording authority over others. He says, โ€œBut it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister.โ€

  • Jesus models servant authority, never positional or domineering ruleโ€”even as the Son of God.

B. Paul and Apostolic Leadership

  • Ephesians 4:11โ€“13 (KJV): Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers are gifts for the maturing of the saintsโ€”not for control, but equipping.

  • 1 Thessalonians 2:7: Paul says he was โ€œgentle among you, as a nurse cherisheth her children.โ€ His style is relational, gentle, and encouraging.

Big Q: Was Jesus a Patriarch? A First Church Look at Spiritual Authority and Gender

Paul I Corinthians 14:10

“There are many voices in the world and each one has significance”

But, which voice is TRUE?

TAVEAU’Sย  PRO PEOPLE NOTE

Iย  respect the Office Human and am PRO them in general and in life, but NOT Accusation based on False, Misuse of apostolic First Church Leader Bible

Many current Christian voicesโ€”some from the normal evangelical LP (mostly feisty, vocal Onlineย  Cessationists, (and I am not accusing them or any) but noting false teaching, false authority, …also in many tongue talking even many by the way pentecostal style groups…also several ministry groups who are fundamentalist, NAR ,apostles in the Gates of the City (mostly) and/or the many in the various forms of the Christianย  shepherding movements subculture, deep hard core, non diverse Christ backgroundsโ€” (though many very intentioned) appear to be untrained and not respectful to all ..These are the main viewsย  based upon knowledge, in the Bible, experience after close to 50 years visiting tribes noting repeated use of (over stepping use) of sr office Levitical patriarchal authority structures… as a supposed biblical standard.

But before we assume these traditions reflect Godโ€™s order, we must ask: Was Jesus a patriarch? Was Paul promoting male dominance? And what did the First Church actually practice?

Letโ€™s consider the Bible only, with respect for men, women, and Godโ€™s original intentโ€”apart from secular feminism or culture wars.

1. Was Jesus a Patriarch?

No. Jesus did not model the cultural patriarchy of His timeโ€”He subverted it.

In first-century Jewish and Roman culture, women were often seen as second-class, uneducated, excluded from testimony in court, barred from temple courts, and viewed as property in some legal settings.

Yet Jesus:

  • Spoke directly to women in public (John 4 โ€“ the Samaritan woman, which shocked even His disciples).

  • Taught women as disciples (Luke 10:38โ€“42 โ€“ Mary at His feet).

  • Defended women against religious judgment (John 8:1โ€“11 โ€“ the woman caught in adultery).

  • Revealed Himself first to women at the Resurrection (John 20:17), giving them apostolic-level commission: โ€œGo to my brethrenโ€ฆโ€.

  • Allowed women to financially support His ministry (Luke 8:1โ€“3).

These actions broke deep patriarchal taboos. Jesus honored women as full image-bearers of God and spiritual equals under the Kingdom (Galatians 3:28 KJV). He never taught that men had universal spiritual authority over women.

Jesus challenged male dominance, religious control, and the abuse of spiritual authority โ€” whether over men or women. He modeled servant leadership, not hierarchy for hierarchyโ€™s sake (Mark 10:42โ€“45 KJV).

2. Was Paul a Patriarch?

Letโ€™s separate Paul the Apostle from Saul the Pharisee.

When Paul Was Saul:

  • Saul was deeply embedded in patriarchal religious culture (Philippians 3:5โ€“6).

  • He persecuted the early Church (Acts 8:3), which included many Spirit-filled women (Acts 2:17).

  • His zeal was legalistic, top-down, and male-dominant.

After Paul Met Christ:

Everything changed.

  • He recognized the Spirit being poured out on โ€œsons and daughtersโ€ (Acts 2:17).

  • He affirmed women leaders like Priscilla, Junia (called an apostle in Romans 16:7), Phoebe (a deacon), and many others.

  • He taught mutual submission (Ephesians 5:21), not male domination.

  • He declared that in Christ there is no male nor female (Galatians 3:28), in terms of worth, calling, or inheritance.

But what about 1 Timothy 2:12 and women being silent?ย  (see part 1 and 2 of this series for the history of how Christian church evolution into to hierarchy, the orthodoxy, the patriarchy changed The Christian Woman Thing. AND TD notes: this was the identical time of the Rev 3 Laodicean Church Time Period (“o my”)

Example:

That letter addresses a local church in Ephesus, filled with pagan Diana/Artemis worship, female-dominant cults, and doctrinal chaos. Paul used temporary pastoral correction, not a universal decree. Paul also never silenced Philipโ€™s four prophetic daughters (Acts 21:9), or Priscilla, or others.

Paul, like Jesus, was not a patriarch in the authoritarian sense. He yielded to the Holy Spiritโ€™s gifting, regardless of gender. He affirmed the body of Christ as a spiritual organism, not a rigid chain of command.

Will park my pen here for now. Will return later and ad more..maybe completely revise it all around!
